While we are on the subject of Speedmasters, the lugs of the Speedmaster come with various names. To most, the lugs of the Speedmaster are known as lyre or twisted lugs. The case, at nearly 20 mm tall, is large enough to house the vertical tourbillon, and the 18K 4N gold arch shaped bridge that runs from 12 to 6. The 90deg vertically-mounted tourbillon is divided in half by the balance wheel and bridge. It completes one full rotation every 60 seconds and has a 0-60 marking to serve as a second display. A large skeletonized hour hand is located on the dial's left side. It moves up the retrograde track of the hour until it reaches 12. At that point, it returns instantly to 1 and continues. On the right side, a large hand with skeletonized digits starts at 00, moves down the retrograde minute track and snaps back to 60 once it reaches it.
The watch is also full of small details that elevates it from being a simple GADA to a luxurious one. A raised chapter ring surrounds the sunray dial. The chapter ring is cut out for the diamond-shaped markers which sit outside of the applied numerals. The polishing of the 100m water resistant case and bracelet is only visible on the thinnest surface, which serves more as an accent pinstripe than catching the light.
