6th July: Ashby scooter and music festival (Ashby town centre)

Local bands and over 1000 scooter are planning to take over Ashby town centre for this fun day out, with live music and a scooter parade

A 5k course with 20 obstacles, 8 colour stations and 20 music zones

Local arts and crafts, vintage antiques and collectibles.

13th July-2nd September: Moon landing maze @ The National Forest Adventure farm (DE13 9SJ)

Less than a 5 minute drive from the Anslow glampsite  is the national Forest adventure farm a great day out for the whole family. Take a look at our last day out there for dino week here.

This year the annual maize maze will celebrate 50 years since the announcement of the first moon landing.

In their 20th years as the worlds premiere tribute to the BeeGees, uncanny likeness and eerily accurate sound.

 

20th July: Birdwatching for beginners @ The National Arboretum (DE13 7AR)

A 3 hour guided walk around the 150 acre arboretum grounds.

 

20th-21st July: Food and drink festival @Elvaston Castle (DE72 3EP)

A great day out, we visited last year and will definetely be going back this year; award winning food and drink with over 100 pop-up shops and stalls, live music and the Bubbleicious festival. Tuck into lots of tasty food, enjoy a refreshing drink and then take a stroll in the countryside around the beautiful grounds of Elvaston Castle.
